Graduate Student
Christa (she/they) works for University of Idaho Extension (that school across the street…) as a Water Educator, connecting high school students with Idaho’s waterways and scientists through a program called the Confluence Project. In a past life, Christa earned a BA in Philosophy from University of Scranton, and then an M.S. in Environmental Science in 2022 through University of Idaho’s McCall Outdoor Science School (MOSS). She dug her first snow pit at MOSS, and was hooked after that! A drive to support secondary students in their own inquiry journeys and to contribute to water management decision-making tools led Christa to join the CryoGARS team in 2026 as a part-time Geoscience graduate student. They are a casual sport-climber, an aspiring white-water kayaker (just got the roll!), and of course, an enthusiastic skier.
